Hi, I'm Jenn Zahrt. I've been an astrologer since 1998, and I've also been madly in love with astrological research since then. I completed my PhD thesis on the history of astrology in Germany in 2012, and I founded a research institute and library in 2021. ISAR's international research mission is aligned with my skill set and life's work, and I am excited to serve you and help you and your work thrive at ISAR.

Barry Perlman
TREASURER
I’m an astrologer, writer, metaphysical entrepreneur, and magical human best known for my “astrobarry” horoscopes, published weekly from 2002 to 2018. As an astrologer, I taught, mentored, and consulted with clients worldwide, in addition to writing for media in the US and Australia. I co-created the first-ever Queer Astrology Conference (QAC), where I presented in 2013 and 2015. I also co-founded and owned The Raven’s Wing Magical Co., a thriving retail business, until it became a worker-owned co-op in 2022. I currently live in southern California.
GABBY
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Gabby is ISAR’s Operations Manager, supporting the Board, speakers, volunteers, and wider community. She enjoys using her Virgo Midheaven to help small organizations thrive. Gabby began her formal astrology studies in 2020 with the Faculty of Astrological Studies and values her work at ISAR as a way to deepen her connection to the global astrological community. With a background in geology and environmental science, she’s passionate about nature and staying active. She can often be found hiking, canyoning, or exploring the outdoors in her new home of Portugal.
Lisa Merrifield
SECRETARY & JOURNAL DIRECTOR
Lisa began studying astrology in 2016 and founded Trail’s Edge Astrology in 2021. She provides astrological consultation and teaches on astrological and adjacent topics, partnering with local businesses, yoga studios, and the community college. Lisa came to astrology after a 30-year career in applied research, outreach, and teaching on climate change and sustainability. She holds advanced degrees in environmental science and planning, is certified as a holistic health coach by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and will complete the professional astrologer training and certification program from Astrology University in 2025.
Alejandra Eusebi Polich
DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH
I am the Director and Board President of the Astrological Center of Buenos Aires, one of the world's oldest astrological institutions, committed to the dissemination, education, and research in astrology. As a third-generation astrologer, have 40 years of experience in the field, particularly in the areas of synastry, education and statistical research on various subjects. I work to integrate humanistic, holistic and scientific approaches in astrology, strengthening the foundations of our principles and enhancing the quality of astrological knowledge.

ADVOCACY DIRECTOR
After attaining a degree in psychology and working in the mental health field, Cameron discovered Evolutionary astrology, which activated his interest in delving beneath the surface of earthly experience to understand life more deeply. Cameron is a practicing Herbalist & Astrologer who considers himself a student of the plants and planets and accesses their natural wisdom to assist in helping others grow, change and evolve.
JOE G. SANTOS
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
Joe G is a certified Hellenistic and Electional Astrologer trained at Chris Brennan's Astrology School. He uniquely intertwines his passions for art and music into his astrological practice. Since 2019, Joe has offered guidance using Hellenistic, Medieval, and Modern techniques, focusing on practical life improvement and strategic planning. He empowers clients to navigate their own charts, fostering independence in decision-making. Recognized for his distinctive methodology, he has been featured in CAELi's Magazine, spoken at CazimiCon 2022, and taught at Astrology Hub's Inner Circle and Gemini Brett's School of Earthstrology.
Sydni Deveraux
EVENTS DIRECTOR
Sydni is a new board member for ISAR, and is a coordinator for NORWAC helping to facilitate volunteers, social media and AV. Sydni is a new consulting astrologer having attended SoulWise astrology school under her mentor Laura Nalbandian and has completed certification in STA's practitioner level Horary astrology course, in addition to other smaller courses during her ongoing practice of studying astrology. She also is a instructor of dance and has been producing events of all sizes during her 20 year career as a performer, including tours and weekenders for her various communities.
Ryhan Butler
OUTREACH DIRECTOR
Ryhan is a professional astrologer based in Dallas, Texas, who began his astrology studies in 2006. He lectures locally and nationally on medieval astrological techniques, and operates the online Medieval Astrology Guide. He has served on the board of the Association for Astrological Networking (AFAN) and the Astrological Society of North Texas. Ryhan is excited to connect with existing and future ISAR members in his new role as Outreach Director.
